Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions of Service apply to all products and services provided by Sophie Amelia Designs. By ordering any of our products, the client agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
All orders accepted are subject to these terms and conditions of sale.
Please note that all our designs are digital with handmade elements therefore colours and materials used may vary from the images or sample produced.
All descriptions and photographs displayed on the website are intended to give a general idea of the products, the colours and appearance of images displayed on our site may vary slightly to the product outcome.
We aim to ensure that all the information available on our site at any time is accurate and complete. However, we are not responsible for any errors or omissions. If you notice an error or omission on our site please point it out to us. We will then use all reasonable endeavours to correct errors and omissions as quickly as possible.
All designs are the copyright and property of Sophie Amelia Designs. Neither you, nor a third party, may copy any part of the design or reproduce it in any way. It is your responsibility to obtain permission for any copyright material, for example poems and wording that are to feature within the stationery.
Copyrights and Trademarks
By supplying text, images and other data to Sophie Amelia Designs for inclusion in the client’s designs or other medium, the client declares that it holds the appropriate copyright and/or trademark permissions. The ownership of such materials will remain with the client, or rightful copyright or trademark owner.
Any illustrations, designs, or text supplied and/or designed by Sophie Amelia Designs on behalf of the client, will remain the property of Sophie Amelia Designs and/or its suppliers in accordance with the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
The client may request in writing from Sophie Amelia Designs the necessary permission to use materials (for which Sophie Amelia Designs holds the copyright) in forms other than for which it was originally supplied, and Sophie Amelia Designs may, at its discretion, grant this. Such permission must be obtained in writing before it will allow any of the aforementioned illustrations, artwork, images, text, or other data to be used.
By supplying images, text, or any other data to Sophie Amelia Designs, the client grants Sophie Amelia Designs permission to use this material freely in the pursuit of the design.
Should Sophie Amelia Designs or the client supply an image, text, audio clip or any other file for use in a website, multimedia presentation, print item, exhibition, advertisement or any other medium believing it to be copyright and royalty free, which subsequently emerges to have such copyright or royalty usage limitations, the client will agree to allow Sophie Amelia Designs to remove and/or replace the file on the site.
The client agrees to fully indemnify and hold Sophie Amelia Designs free from harm in any and all claims resulting from the client in not having obtained all the required copyright, and/or any other necessary permissions.
At the time of proposal, Sophie Amelia Designs will provide the client with a written estimate or quotation for requirements. The full Terms and Conditions can be read on the Sophie Amelia Designs website.
The client is expected to email acknowledging acceptance of the quotation, which binds the client to accept Sophie Amelia Designs Terms and Conditions.
No work on a project will commence until booking deposit of 50% has been received by Sophie Amelia Designs.
Payment can be made via BACs transfer or online via Paypal. Sophie Amelia Designs do not accept any other form of payment.
A non-refundable booking deposit of 50% of the total order price will be taken at the time of booking to confirm and secure your date. Once the client has proofed and confirmed the artwork, the remaining 50% of the balance will need to be paid in full before your order goes to print.
Existing Designs: Clients will receive an invoice once finalised item quantities have been decided by the client. Full payment must then be made prior to the designs being sent to print.
Bespoke Designs: Clients will receive an invoice for the agreed design fee. This design fee must be paid in full prior to any design work commencing on the project. Another invoice will be issued at a later date once finalised item quantities have been decided by the client. Full payment of this invoice must then be made prior to the designs being sent to print.
Sophie Amelia Designs will retain the legal ownership of the goods until full payment has been made by the client and such payment has been received by us.
Legal ownership of goods will revert to Sophie Amelia Designs if any payments are refunded. Sophie Amelia Designs reserves the right to decline any query or order at their discretion. Under no circumstance will Sophie Amelia Designs provide credit to customers.
CANCELLATIONS, ERRORS AND RETURNS
All monies paid are non-refundable should an order be cancelled post artwork proof sign off. We regret that refunds and exchanges can only be made where the goods are faulty or fail to meet the clients’ requirements as agreed at the final proof stage. Should an order cancellation be received prior to proof sign off, we will refund the cost of items that have not already been produced, subject to a 50% cancellation charge.
We reserve the right to cancel the order at any time until the order has been delivered for any reason and refund the customer in full.
Design proofs are sent electronically via email, using the wording and layout agreed in your order. You are responsible for checking layout, wording, spelling and grammar. We do strongly recommend that you print this pdf in order to view it to the correct size.
We will not begin final printing until we have received approval from you referencing the correct proof to proceed with. When your final proof is approved you accept responsibility for any errors. Sophie Amelia Designs takes no responsibility if designs are approved and signed off with errors and printed. If mistakes are discovered after final printers proof approval, we will charge for any reprinting.
If replacements are required, they will be charged for in full. Please note that we cannot accept returns due to customer input or typographical errors.
Included within the package price, we provide two rounds of proof revisions however design proofing takes time and is taken into account of our pricing, so thereafter £15 per proof will be charged.
Colour appearance varies from screen to print and the ink colours used in pdf proofs of your stationery may appear differently in person once they have been digitally printed. Seeing our work in person is the best way to ensure the colour you see on our website is the colour you would like to use for our stationery. Let us know if you would like a proof of your order to be printed and sent prior to full order being processed (at an additional cost).
Please note: Colours will appear different when printed digitally. Your home printer will not provide an accurate representation of the correct colour.
We are often very busy processing orders but we will always aim to get your order with you by the despatch date chosen on the booking form. Sophie Amelia Designs is not liable for any delays caused by third-party printing or carrier companies. As our client, you will always be informed of any delays to your order with us.
Existing Designs: Once your order is received, confirmed and payment is made in full, we aim to get your order printed, packaged and posted within 6 weeks.
Bespoke Designs: Once your order is received, confirmed and payment is made in full, we aim to get your order printed, packaged and posted within 10 weeks.
Please note: Allow at least 4 weeks for your order to be processed and despatched, we regret we cannot always take orders at short notice. Timeframes are dependant on how responsive you are to proof and notifying Sophie Amelia Designs know about changes.
Printing: Please note, printing will not be started until the remaining balance is paid in full.
Delivery: Wedding Stationery will be sent by First Class by Royal Mail Delivery packaged to be kept safe during transport. Please let us know if you would rather your order be sent by Royal Mail Special Delivery, wherein packages will always require a signature upon delivery. Sophie Amelia Designs is not responsible for delays caused by the courier.
All personal information you provide us with will be handled by Sophie Amelia Designs The personal information you provide will be used to ensure deliveries to you, the credit assessment and to provide offers and information to you. The information you provide is only available to Sophie Amelia Designs and will not be shared with other third parties. You have the right to inspect the information held about you. You always have the right to request Sophie Amelia Designs to delete or correct the information held about you. By accepting the Sophie Amelia Designs Conditions, you agree to the above.
Sophie Amelia Designs has tried to ensure that information provided through this website is accurate; however it accepts no liability for any inaccuracies or errors in the site through technical or other reasons.
You are entitled to an exchange or refund within 14 days of your purchase. Please note that the product must be returned unused, in original packaging including all tags. In case of refund neither the original shipping cost nor the return shipping cost will be repaid.
